Sending you a Hug

I don’t know about you, but am I the only one who gets anxious in the greeting card aisle?

Hundreds and hundreds of options, all slightly different, but you have to make a decision. Do you go funny? Heartfelt? Generic? It can be so overwhelming. I hate the tradition of greeting cards.

I usually go into a panic and select a card within eye sight. Only after comparing it to maybe one other card that I only grabbed because I thought it was pretty.  If I took the time to go through all these cards, I would seriously be here all day. Never once in my life have I been really excited about a greeting card. Usually my inner dialogue when I make a selection is more along the lines of “this will work.”

The problem is, “this will work” isn’t even close to the actual sentiment I want to send. I can handwrite a meaningful message, if there is room, but sometimes that still does not feel like it is enough. I constantly feel as though nothing that is prewritten in those cards is genuine. All I can think of is the hundreds of other cards that say the exact same thing.

All I can think about is the dozens and dozens of greeting cards that I have thrown out in my life in the birthday party clean up. Deep down I know that this greeting card will inevitably have the same fate. What if you really want to say I love you? I miss you? I really am thinking of you?

If you want to send a sentiment that stands out.

A sentiment that is meaningful and heart felt.

A greeting card is not going to be enough. They are a dime a dozen. Greeting cards are impersonal.

A Huggybox transcends the endless sea of greeting cards. How can you rely on a cute little cartoon rabbit illustration to communicate your feelings? A Huggybox communicates in the most simple and powerful of languages, human touch. A hug is powerful and not something that can be put inside a greeting card.

If you want to ensure that your loved one knows that you care, enough with the inspirational quotes, haikus, and cartoons. Send them a hug.

Greeting card may come and go with the memory and warmth of a hug is lasting and genuine.

Let’s send more hugs.
